Minecraft was released on November 18, 2011, and is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Android, iOS, PlayStation Vita, Nintendo Switch, Raspberry Pi, Wii U, and Apple TV. The catch? This texture pack is only out for 1.8, but it's still worth going back just to experience it. Updates grass blocks from every biome type, grass paths, podzol blocks, mycelium blocks, and grass blocks with snow on top.
Dirt texture is still on the bottom of the grass block. Pair this up with a shader pack, and it will actually be terrifying to set a foot outside at night time when the darkness and fog are the thickest. A very simple resource pack that gives grass blocks the green top texture on all sides, making hills look more realistic. Bleak, dirty, and rusty, all of them are reminiscent of the worn-out appearance of Silent Hill. The textures look as if they were pulled straight out of the game. Now, players can also experience the horrors of the misty Silent Hill in Minecraft. Some of the worst enemies and scenes have stemmed from the series and inspired popular culture over the last two decades. The game franchise still holds the crown as one of the masters of horror, and for good reason. On to something super scary: a Silent Hill texture pack.
